In Lamb sale update

Full report to follow but just to report very successful sale of in lamb females today. 8 in lamb ewes/gimmers sold for average of 488 guineas and 8 hoggs averaged 335 guineas. Top price 650 guineas for 3 lots - a Knockglass Cruiser sired Gimmer in lamb to Eildon Merrick from David Walker, a Didcot Phoenix sired gimmer in lamb to Eildon Epic from John Barrowman and a Didcot Dylan Thomas sired hogg from Tom Tennant. Champion was a Kininmonth kiwi ewe from Mary Laidlaw and Reserve Didcot Dreamboad hogg consigned by Neil Howie. Overall the sale enabled some new members to increase their bloodlines and was an opportunity for new breeders to make a fresh start into Border Leicesters. Thank you to all that brought sheep out for the sale and for all the enthusiasm shown around the ring for the breed.
