Lanark Sale beats all Records!

Lanark Sale made the history books today! Not only did it break the breed record at £2,900 for Jim Brown's (Eildon) champion Gimmer (sired by Eildon K2 out of Eildon Ultimo Regalis), but the sale was also £100/hd up on last yr averaging £385.75/hd for ram lambs and £403.18/hd for females. Top price ram lamb was £2200 for Mary Laidlaw's (Drennans) Clola Character's sired lamb, knocked down to Mr & Mrs Irving (Kingfisher). Other top prices included £1500 and £1350 for David Walker (Alticane), £1200 and £1050 for Mary Laidlaw (Drennan's). Mary also won the Progeny Group class in the pre sale show, quite clearly an indication of the prices she went on to achieve. Well done all and I hope everyone very pleased with their purchases!
