Wee Henry Stewart Of Kinninmonth

The National Show at Fife Show on Saturday 21st May was a great success. Congratulations to Alex & Sandy Watson who won the Championship with their Didcot Drambuie sired Gimmer out of an Eildon Eager ewe. Reserve was Mary Laidlaw with a Kilphin sired ewe lamb out of a Walton Winner ewe.

In addition to the usual classes, we ran a Young Handler's class as there were so many young enthusiasts helping to show. A quick run to the sweetie van for some prizes, and the ring was soon filled with 10 young exhibitors. It was a close contest with the winner going to Douglas Pinkerton with David Stewart a close second. Well done to all of you for sharing your enthusiasm for the Border Leicester and proving that it is such a fantastic sheep to Show.

Many thanks to Judge Jim Howie.
